Tork Craft Drill Press Vice 125mm

At a Glance: 125 mm jaw width, robust drill press vice for stable, accurate drilling

The Tork Craft Drill Press Vice 125mm (Model TCV13125) is a sturdy, low-profile vice designed to keep your workpiece firmly in place on a drill press or pillar drill table. With 125 mm wide jaws and a tough cast-iron body, it gives a solid, reliable grip on metal, plastic or timber so you can drill straight, repeatable holes with confidence. Slotted mounting holes allow you to bolt and align the vice to most drill press tables, while the precision-machined jaws and smooth-action screw provide positive clamping and easy adjustment.

Rigid 125mm drill press vice for larger, more demanding drilling jobs

This larger-size drill press vice is ideal for workshops and serious DIYers who regularly work with wider flat bar, channel, plate and timber components. The cast-iron construction resists flex under load, helping the drill bit stay on line, and the compact height preserves valuable drilling capacity under the chuck. Once mounted, it becomes a dependable workholding solution that lives on your drill press and speeds up everyday drilling tasks.

Bad Good

Features

  • 125 mm jaw width comfortably clamps wider workpieces and larger profiles than a 100 mm vice.
  • Heavy-duty cast-iron body delivers excellent rigidity and reduces flex for accurate drilling.
  • Low-profile design keeps overall height down to maximise usable drilling stroke.
  • Precision-machined jaws provide flat, square clamping faces for a secure, accurate grip.
  • Slotted mounting base fits most drill press and pillar drill tables for easy bolting and alignment.
  • Strong lead screw mechanism offers smooth tightening and high clamping force with minimum effort.
  • Steel sliding handle gives good leverage and control when opening or closing the jaws.

Benefits

  • Improved drilling accuracy by holding the workpiece firmly and square, reducing bit wander and chatter.
  • Safer operation as the vice prevents the workpiece from spinning or snatching if the drill bit grabs.
  • Handles larger stock thanks to the wider jaws, making it suitable for bigger brackets, plates and sections.
  • Consistent, repeatable results when drilling multiple identical parts, even in harder materials.
  • Long service life due to the robust cast-iron body and durable screw and jaw construction.

Extra Information

  • Designed primarily for drill press and pillar drill tables, but can also be bolted to a sturdy workbench for light machining and general clamping.
  • Ideal for drilling operations on steel, aluminium, non-ferrous metals, plastics and timber within the vice’s capacity.
  • Magnetic or slip-on soft jaws can be added to protect finished surfaces or to improve grip on round and irregular shapes.
  • A dedicated Service Kit (Code: TCV13125-SK01) with replacement jaws, worm and handle is available separately.
  • Keep the screw and sliding surfaces lightly oiled and free from swarf to maintain smooth operation and reduce wear.

Pro Tip

  • When drilling round bar or tube, use a V-block or soft jaws with a V-groove in the vice – this centres the workpiece, improves grip and helps prevent spinning.
  • Set up simple stop blocks against the vice jaws when drilling a batch of parts so you can repeat the same hole positions quickly and accurately.
